Welcome ....  We are a small farm & nursery located
    near
the Kootenay River in Glade, British Columbia.

We appreciate the land, our garden, and our
customers by using the following good practices:

  ~~~ Grow all things naturally by committing to
          strict no-chemical use
  ~~~ Use recycled objects for our crafts
  ~~~ Purchase supplies from ethical companies
  ~~~ Encourage use of wildlife friendly plants &
         open pollinated varieties
  ~~~ Cultivate a landscape that promotes a variety
         of
pollinating insects, birds, bats, reptiles
         & amphibians.
GLADE WATERSHED PROTECTION: 'drinking Glade water since 1911'
PictureC.Hecker2016
Glade is a beautiful place and we love it here.  Almost all residents get their water from Glade Creek - it is our drinking water that comes from our kitchen taps and the water for our gardens.
Unfortunately, two logging companies (Kalesnikoff Lumber Company & ATCO Wood Products) are proposing to log in our watershed.  We have many concerns for our water, the eco system, how this will affect our small community, the fish bearing creek, grizzly habitat, & our roads etc.
The Lake Isle of Innisfree
I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made;
Nine bean rows will I have there, a hive for the honey bee,
And live alone in the
bee-loud glade.
